In 2018, I spent time in Thailand, where I was inspired by the water filled rice fields, the mountainous backdrops, and the landscape’s relationship to light at times when the sun was most intense. One particular drive through the countryside, from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai, with various stops along the way, influenced a number of these mixed media works.
